Krug Travel is a Croatian Tour Operator based in Opatija and Pula. We are a team of friends, travel professionals, and academics. Our home base is the Istrian Peninsula. We believe that Istria is a unique melting pot of three countries: Italy, Croatia and Slovenia. On our small group tours, we offer a story of all three countries together, interwoven into one cultural experience. Mateo Brajek (academic guide) Don’t worry, this guy will not bore you to death with historical facts. His out-of-the-box humour and his hedonist tendencies make him the guy you want for a son-in-law. Btw, together with his wife Lorena he’s running an English language youth theatre called Pygmalion in Volosko, Croatia.

Marko Flego (owner) lived most of his life in Heidelberg, Germany. Eventually, he came back to his Croatian roots and became a Balkan guide in order explore the region and his ancestral legacy. After years of exploring he found the holy grail of life, the land of milk and honey – Istria!
