Day 1 – The mightiest Walls of Europe: Welcome to Dubrovnik

Included today:

  • Meeting with the Krug Host
  • Overnight at 3*or 4* hotel in Dubrovnik incl. breakfast

Today’s recommendations:

  • The Cable Car up to Srđ Mountain is a must-see-view-point in Dubrovnik, especially at sunrise and sunset.
  • For always fresh fish dishes with the local touch look out for the blue-white umbrellas at Restaurant Kamenice and Restaurant 360° owns a Michelin star.
  • Sometimes, Dubrovnik is heavily overcrowded. To escape the masses you can hang out in the Lapad District, especially around the park area.
  • Once you arrived in Dubrovnik, you know why you came. The City Walls are spectacular and worth every penny of the entrance fee.

 

Day 2 – On the Road to Split: Feel the Orient in Mostar

Included today:

  • Transport from Dubrovnik to Split via Mostar
  • Free time in Mostar
  • Overnight at 3*/4* hotel in Split incl. breakfast

Today’s Recommendations:

  • In Mostar, lunch shouldn’t be missed at Restaurant Šadrvan.
  • The Old Town of Mostar is a different world. Feel the breeze of the Orient!
  • Photo Stop at Neretva Delta – an amazingly lush, fruity delta valley that provides citruses for Croatia and abroad.

 

Day 3 – Your choice: Free Day in Split (with lots of options)

  • Your Krug Host is happy to help you with organizing your free day in Split
  • Overnight at 3*or 4* hotel in Split incl. breakfast

Today’s recommendations:

  • When in Split, do not miss the Meštrović Gallery near the old town. Meštrović was a powerful stonemason. He was an artist of world class. In the gallery he lived, worked, received V.I.P.’s like royals, politicians, and other artists from that time.
  • If you are on the adventurous side of life, we highly recommend the speedboat trip around the nearby islands. Island Vis, the Blue Cave, and other small islands are a real jewel, especially during the summer.
  • The most authentic Jewelry of the region is filigree. Check out the old town of Split for the small family-run filigree workshops. Great stuff for great prices.

  • If you are a nature lover we recommend to visit the Krka Waterfalls. There are plenty of great day trips departing from Split.

 

Day 4 – Coastline Hopping: Šibenik, Zadar, Opatija

Included today:

  • Transport from Split to Opatija via Zadar and Šibenik
  • Lunch Break in Zadar
  • Free time in Zadar and Šibenik
  • Overnight at 3* or 4* hotel in Opatija incl. breakfast

Today’s recommendations:

  • The Sea Organ in Zadar is just something special. Have a sit there and listen. Just listen. You will be mesmerized like all the other listeners from all over the world. In the evening you will also see the “Greeting to the Sun” interactive monument.
  • Have lunch at Konoba Skoblar for an authentic local “Marenda” which means small lunch during working days.
  • In Šibenik you can witness finest stone masonry in the Cathedral of Saint James (UNESCO). The old town is kind of cute.
  • Opatija has one of the nicest promenades on the Adriatic coast called “Lungo Mare”. A 12-kilometre long promenade along the seaside. Pure romanticism.
  • Just half an hour walking along the Lungo Mare Promenade you will reach Volosko. A dreamy hidden port town and one of Croatia’s food Meccas! Go to Trattoria Skalinadafor the cosy garden feeling, go to Osteria Veranda for the perfect Adriatic Restaurant terrace or go to Restaurant Plavi Podrum for Croatia’s Top 10 fish Restaurant
  • The hippest Cafe Bar in Opatija is Eugenian and the one with the best location is Angiolina Beach Bar

 

Day 5 – Feels like Italy: Istria’s finest Hilltop Towns

Included today:

  • Day Trip to Istria including Rovinj, Grožnjan, and Motovun
  • Truffle Tasting in Motovun
  • Free Time in Rovinj and Motovun
  • Lunch Break at our most favourite Trattoria in Istria (great meals from 9€ up)

Today’s recommendations:

  • Truffles! Here in Istria, they are of great quality and this is why today we take you on a truffle tasting!
  • In Rovinj, the most Adriatic Coffee you will drink at the very popular Mediterraneo Bar
  • In Rovinj, the best view of the bay you’ll get from the square in front of St. Euphemia Church. The very best view, however, is from the bell tower – 3€/person
  • In Rovinj, the old town is what you want to see. The Artisan Shops, the narrow streets, the atmosphere! Go! The town is yours!
  • In Grožnjan, it’s time for Art. More than 30 galleries in a small tiny village that will teleport you back into the 15th century because of its architecture and vibe
  • In Motovun, you want to visit the wonderful city walls (3,5€/person) and join our truffle tasting

 

Day 6 – Green, lush, and wet: National Park Plitvice Lakes (UNESCO)

Included today:

  • Transport from Opatija to Zagreb via the Plitvice Lakes
  • National Park Entrance Fees
  • Guided Tour at the National Park Plitvice Lakes
  • Photo Stop at War Museum in Karlovac
  • Photo Stop in Rastoke, a hobbit-like full-of-creeks village on your way to Plitvice
  • At the lakes, you can get some very tasty local Strudel just next to the main entrance. Great snack for your lake walk.
  • Overnight at 3* or 4* hotel in Zagreb incl. breakfast

Day 7 – Urban Slavic Life: Zagreb City

If you like to find out about great stuff in Zagreb ask your Krug Host the day before. Your Host will be happy to help you out with planning your stay in Zagreb.

  • Walk the Upper and Lower Old Town of Zagreb and feel the modern Slavic Vibe
